What We Believe

Our Purpose

To be Christ-like in our daily lives and to live the example that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has set for us. To love God, to love others, and to fulfill the great commission given to us in Matthew 28:18 20

God:

We believe in one God, who is eternal, self-existent, infinite, immutable, and sovereign ruler over all. We believe He has one nature, one essence, and one substance, yet manifests Himself to man in three persons: the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Scripture:

We believe the Bible is the inerrant and infallible word of God. It was written by men that were divinely inspired by God and is completely trustworthy. We believe that God not only inspired every word, but has preserved it through the ages for all.

Man:

We believe man is the creation of God, made in His image. Man was created sinless and perfect in the garden, but chose to sin against God and brought sin to all mankind. It is only by God’s grace that man can be redeemed in God’s sovereign plan.

Sin and Salvation:

We believe all people were born with an inherited sin nature passed down to us from Adam. Mankind is totally incapable of saving themselves and that nothing we do can earn our way into heaven. It is only through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the Cross that mankind can be saved. We are saved by grace through faith alone; not through any works or deeds. One must repent of their sins through the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God that died for our sins and resurrected on the third day, and confess Him as Lord of your life and surrender to His Will.

The Church:

The Local church is an assembly of believers that come together for the purpose of serving out the great commission and being the hands and feet of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by evangelizing and helping others. The universal church is all believers throughout the whole world that are saved by Jesus Christ for the same purpose, to share the love of Christ with others. Christ is the head of both as our Great Shepherd and Lord.

This emblem is a picture of the Bible with a cross and it’s reflection coming from it. It means that we are to reflect not ourselves, but the Lord and His Word in our daily lives. It’s a statement and challenge for us to reflect Christ and His Word for all the world to see. To be more Christ like in all we do because of the sacrifice he made on the cross for us by taking our place.

James 1:22-25   “but be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only,
deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and
not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a
glass. For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway
forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
